Prabhas Seenu as Raja’s friend is apt in his role but look out for Saptagiri. Though the cinematography, at some places, seems to be a letdown, or in some specific scenes, it indeed is a treat. There are a couple of songs that are quite striking. Would it have been better if he worked on his facial expressions a bit? The director is boss. Sharwanand, who’s already proven his mettle as an actor, gets under the skin of his character and he is totally at ease. A major portion of the film is about her pet dog which first gets stolen, is sold off, resold and goes missing. The audience too falls in love with her because she beats the villains to pulp – of all things with a dictionary. And most certainly, he steals the show with hardly having any dialogue to utter. All that he’s interested in doing is stealing iron. Crucial to the entire movie is comedian Dhanraj’s role and as rightly introduced to the screen, he’s got no direct relation to the story. The opening scene tricks you but that’s how the director Melapaka Gandhi leads you into the narrative. The tricky question arises when she has to decide between Raja and pet dog.
And Ammu cannot think of life without her dear dog. The fact of the matter is that Raja hates dogs. The dog and the diamond, and the romantic life of Raja (Sharwanand) and his lady love Ammu (Surbhi) in comical situations. Nevertheless, there is more to the film than that. This does not mean that it is a laugh riot because the dependence on the little bottle to generate additional humour falls flat sometimes. Oh yes, there’s a lead pair too and comedy stuff that will tickle your funny bone. This entertainer revolves around these three.
